National partner
We are a group of experts from different fields with an interest in the energy efficiency of buildings, and a common goal: a significant increase in the rate of comprehensive energy modernisation of the Polish building stock. This is crucial to achieve climate neutrality, improve air quality, reduce energy poverty and improve the quality of life. In our opinion, the comprehensive energy renovation of buildings should be the priority of the economic recovery.
The national recovery plan
Renovate2Recover country profile (2021)
In 2021 we looked at how each national recovery plan funded building renovation. The Renovate2Recover study found significant renovation activity planned, and called for two things: funding that delivers deep (or staged deep) renovations, going well beyond the 30% minimum energy saving recommended by the European Commission, and an enabling framework, including private finance, so that renovation markets keep growing after the recovery funding ends in 2026.
The Polish profile comes from the study commissioned by the Renovate Europe Campaign and carried out by E3G, with input from Fala Renowacji.
