Chance for Buildings is an alliance of leading trade associations that supports energy efficient and environmentally sustainable construction and renovation of buildings. It brings together the Czech Green Building Council, the Passive House Centre, the Mineral Insulation Manufacturers Association, the EPS Association and the Energy Service Providers Association, and represents over 300 companies across the entire value chain of building construction and renovation.
The national recovery plan
Renovate2Recover country profile (2021)
In 2021 we looked at how each national recovery plan funded building renovation. The Renovate2Recover study found significant renovation activity planned, and called for two things: funding that delivers deep (or staged deep) renovations, going well beyond the 30% minimum energy saving recommended by the European Commission, and an enabling framework, including private finance, so that renovation markets keep growing after the recovery funding ends in 2026.
