The Holy Ghost Residential Home in Waterford City, Ireland, carried out deep renovation on 15 of its buildings through the SEAI Community Energy Grant scheme. The home was built in the 1970s.
Before the works began, surveys were carried out to target the key measures needed to reduce the buildings’ energy consumption and carbon emissions and to improve the tenants’ thermal comfort.
