The Campaign

Political Support

Over two terms of the European Parliament, MEPs from across the political groups, and national, community and business leaders, publicly backed the campaign’s call to renovate Europe’s buildings.

2019–2024: Champions Together for Renovation

Between 2019 and 2024 the campaign gathered MEPs, national politicians, and community and business leaders as Champions Together for Renovation: leaders who kept the energy renovation of buildings high on the political agenda. 34 MEPs from 6 political groups and 18 countries signed up.

Citizens want policies that make a real difference: policies that support local SMEs, create jobs throughout the economy, and improve the lives and health of all people in all buildings, every day. Renovation is key to all of them.

What it meant to be a Champion

The campaign gave Champions practical support, such as speaking notes for debates and events and policy briefings on the multiple benefits of renovation, and a wide network of contacts at European and national level to help them build strong links.
