The online event National Recovery and Resilience Plan: Investing in Building Renovation for a Climate Neutral Future highlighted the importance of building renovation to the EU’s long-term objective of a climate-neutral economy by 2050, and the elements of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan that can support it. It discussed:
- opportunities and challenges in implementing the investments in building renovation foreseen in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan;
- long-term strategies and targets for building renovation in Greece;
- new requirements for building renovation at EU level under the Fit for 55 package;
- the EU Taxonomy on Sustainable Finance as a means to define sustainable investments by higher energy savings criteria;
- Building Renovation Passports as an instrument for holistic, staged deep renovations that avoid renovation lock-in;
- one-stop shops as a mechanism helping regional and local authorities to roll out renovation schemes and to monitor and measure renovation performance.
The event was organised by INZEB and GIZ, with the H2020 projects iBRoad2EPC and Triple A and the Build Back Better Greece initiative as supporting partners. It was held in Greek.
